I came across this 'vision' article, http://planningcommission.nic.in/plans/planrel/pl_vsn2020.pdf
and it made me think a few things.
Its alright to plan ahead ( in this case 12-15 yrs ahead) but what is the worth of these documents in bureaucratic/democratic country like ours? Agreed, most of the vision here are basic amenities like education, poverty, infrastructure but hasn't this been our 'vision' since 47 ? I just feel that unless these things are implemented ( read effectively and fast), we could bring out hundreds of such dossier's but to of no use. Governments will come and go by, each having their own 'visions' of new India....

Plan: The only way I see india heading is towards a two tier system, with bright line between affluence and vulnerable sects. The reason I use vulnerable rather than poor, is because, there is no denying that india will become richer and probably 'poverty' may be elvated to middle class. But still they will be on the other side of the line.
The only way I see india become stronger is , if we have democratic government with marxist ideas. Distribution o wealth through tax, which might control inflation, reduce crime.
To be frank I don't even think that anybody will even make the effort that you have done retrieve this archaic peace of document.
exactly, thats wat my point is, these humongous documents are worth nothing and are just plain waste of time..
